Soulstone Objective Marker

From an old RPG adventure module (Vault of the Whispering Tyrant by Paizo) that included some miniatures comes this interesting magical piece that seems like a good fit as a WarGods objective marker..

I wanted the gem to look as magical as possible so used the brightest white I could find and built up to my beloved Partha neon green. It came out pretty good. Of course the material the gem is embedded in needed to be some tanned hide for maximum spooky/evilness.

And here we have a couple of S'syth agents performing some diabolical ritual that can only lead to trouble for Aegyptus.

Pack Saurian for the Caravan

This old resin and metal dinosaur thing (from the Void 1.1 miniatures line) has been together and partially painted for over a decade. With the returned focus on the caravan project I went searching for this guy and now he's ready to take his place in the heart of it all.

I used lots of bits from many sources for his eclectic mix of baggage. Everything from beads to WarGods bits to Foundry bits to a GW bit and more.

His base was a problem at the time of construction. I didn't have a regular plastic or MDF rectangular base had fit on but I did have a cheap thick cork coaster that would do the job with a little cutting. As I was finishing him up I made some brown texture paste to better cover where his thick resin base meets the cork.

And the caravan continues to grow...

Return to the Okroi Caravan Project

It's been some time since I worked on minis for the Okroi Caravan. It started with these two excellent miniatures from Forge of Ice. They spurred a search for more minis to man the caravan as well as a need for more of those delightful Okroi. Now there has finally been a return to focus on getting the caravan populated.

First up is another female caravaneer from Dark Fable. This lady has a spear that I added a plastic flag bit to help her stand out from the other spearwoman minis in the line. I almost forgot I added a plastic pouch bit to her back to help give her a more characterful look.

Then came this young Okroi from Forge of Ice.

And finally, for this batch, is another member of the caravaneers a Nubian adventurer. His banded armor is a little too subtly colored to show up well in the pictures but I like how he turned out.

Let's  take a look at the current state of the completed caravan figures.

Upcoming will be another Dark Fable caravaneer and four Okroi pack animals. There should probably be even more members- I need to go through some boxes of minis to see what else might fit.

Tebbi and Blackclaw Adventures with Dwarven Forge

I've been working on the Dwarven Forge Dungeon Tiles over at the Minismith's Forge blog. WarGods minis look great on the tiles and who better to have a series of adventures than the "Butch and Sundance" of the WarGods world- Tebbi and Blackclaw.

Joined by their occasional partner Hoethet VII the Drunken Swordmaster, Tebbi and Blackclaw engage a Nekharu gang.

The Scorpion Mistress hired Tebbi and Blackclaw to accompany her to extract venom from the Lair of the Apophisphinx. While Blackclaw curses his poor skill with a bow which led to him being a better swordsman than his partner. Blackclaw has to Guard the Scorpion Mistress as Tebbi protects their flank from the oncoming Nile Pirates down the long hallway.

In the depths of the Neapolitan catacombs, Tebbi and Blackclaw, with their foreign patron, confront the Serpent Witch and her Nekharu guards.

In the winding halls of the Mystic Passage, Tebbi and Blackclaw confront their quarry. The Cannibal Hoplite had terrorized the streets of Pharos. But our antiheroes will soon discover there is an even darker hand behind this foreign fiend.
