WarGods Minis Month'13 Update 5

A Sand Chicken, a Sebeki Hero and a Canopic Base make up this update. Sorta sound s like the start of a bad joke...

Some various bits to make up this objective/treasure marker. The canopic jars are made from various plastic bits that looked right.

The excellent Crocodile Games Sebeki Mascot figure-- I converted this one to have a large kopesh-like sword from the original hammer.

 I always forget how fun it is to paint up a Sebeki.

Finally a giant Sand Chicken, fierce hunting bird of the desert plains...

 This Asar is in pretty big trouble unless he can get a really lucky shot off...

WarGods Minis Month'13 Update 4

3 Satyr archers and a "Catyr" Musician for them.

And here's the unit of Satyr's so far- including the awesome Hasslefree conversion from a while back.

WarGods Minis Month '13 Update 03

 The latest update for WarGods Minis Month finds 2 Olympus minis form Crocodile Games (both released years ago at GenCon not part of the current Kickstarter).

First up the original Demigoddess of Artemis. I've had her started for several years now but I've just never been able to force myself into finishing her until now. I like this sculpt but I'm really looking forward to the Kickstarter Artemis figure.

Then we've got a Minotaur-- or in this case a slight conversion of the Ægyptus hero Menthu Hathor-hotep. This figure can be used as either the Apis son of Ra and Hathor,Menthu (from fluff for a campaign warband and possible skirmish campaign) to a nasty Minotaur for infamous Olympus warbands.

I should get a shot of this guy with the first Minotaur I painted and actually used in the campaign (the one with the big axe).

Here's an overhead view of the base with a battered shield.

WarGods Minis Month '13 Update 02

This update has 3 Asar Archers in the Heirakonpolis color scheme (blues and whites to fit in with my general Heru colors).

 With these 3 the unified Asar Archer unit is brought up to minimum strength of 10. There's going to be an Archer Captain coming and eventually a few other Archers...

WarGods Minis Month '13 Update 01

With the launch of the WarGods of Olympus Kickstarter campaign,I've decided to dedicate the month of June to WarGods-related painting. Kicking it all off we've got a Heru Hero conversion from the Ægyptus line and a Spartan painted up as a skirmish character from the Olympus line...

'Captain Panaka' the Heru Hero converted from a spearman with a sword arm from one of the Basti Harem Guards and a shield from someplace I can't recall (one of the Olympus heroes?).

'The Fallen Hoplite' Spartan Hoplite figure painted up for use as a lone mercenary character for skirmish gaming. His shield is from the Wargames Factory Amazons box.

What surprise does WarGods Minis Month hold? Well they're surprises so I won't tell you. But I can hint that there will be a chariot, some monsters, a mix of Crocodile Games figs and figures from other companies that fit in the WarGods world for a little variety.

ToTanem Spearman 4

Another Totanem Spearman done!

 This was a headless master that Fitz let me have a long time ago. To get him a head I did a crappy little pressmold of one of the hammerer's head and came up with a not great little head. Some bad sculpting to fix it and I got it to look about halfway decent.

And here he is with another Spearman that has an actual original head...
