The latest update for WarGods Minis Month finds 2 Olympus minis form Crocodile Games (both released years ago at GenCon not part of the current Kickstarter).
First up the original Demigoddess of Artemis. I've had her started for several years now but I've just never been able to force myself into finishing her until now. I like this sculpt but I'm really looking forward to the Kickstarter Artemis figure.
Then we've got a Minotaur-- or in this case a slight conversion of the Ægyptus hero Menthu Hathor-hotep. This figure can be used as either the Apis son of Ra and Hathor,Menthu (from fluff for a campaign warband and possible skirmish campaign) to a nasty Minotaur for infamous Olympus warbands.
I should get a shot of this guy with the first Minotaur I painted and actually used in the campaign (the one with the big axe).
Here's an overhead view of the base with a battered shield.
More to come...

The Epic of Menthu Hathorhotep is Coming Soon...
... and so is the conversion!
Yes, a slightly converted Olympus Minotaur figure. Crappy pics but I don't want to give away the whole thing at once.
The 'Epic of Menthu' written by SHefdu Sootootma will start appearing in installments soon too. Because Menthu was the character from my latest campaign warband that seems to have captured the hearts and minds of a generation... Or maybe just a few people thought the idea was cool, either way I'm doing it!

Shefdu's Scrolls- Pandora's Box Finale
The Culmination of the Pandora's Box Crisis
OR
My Apparent Destruction in the Prison of Kronos
...thus Iodah, the Bes Hero of Kashik Oasis, and I raced through the cavern entrance downward towards the deep glow. As we travelled further below ground others of our Faction joined us from a branching cavern. When we neared our goal the cavern was filled with a bright flash of white light.
Our lost comrade Sakaris, ToTanem champion 'the Lion of Memphis,' along with a lost warrior from our newly arrived factionmates, appeared before us. Sakaris and the other warrior both sacrificed themselves to the ferryman so our warbands could cross the river to the Underworld. Both were now disembodied Ka, their will to continue to aid our cause took this quasi-physical form before us.
With our newly returned allies we entered a large cavern with several cave entrances and a large pool of roiling lava in the center. Two pillars of stone flanked a stone stairway leading up to a landing at the edge of the lava pool.
Standing on the landing with what was obviously Pandora's Box at his feet was the hulking form of the half-man half-Titan sorcerer, Xerxes. The Box lid was ajar with tentacles of some horrible monster writhing about from within. Around the cavern were numerous other entrances. Each entrance had disgorged members of either the Order Faction or the Chaos Faction (hereafter referred to as the “Minions of Xerxes”).
The fiend Xerxes addressed us all, gloating how we were too late to hinder his scheme. He had already begun the incantations which he claimed would assure him victory. His wicked laughter echoed through the chamber as members of the Order Faction, all great heroes from Hellas and Ægyptus intent on stopping whatever vile plan Xerxes had set in motion, sprung to the attack.
To my left, Sakaris blocked a Sphinx Abomination from attacking us. The ToTanem shade held his own for a moment but the undead monster swallowed him whole. Sakaris' sacrifice gave Iodah and I a moment to let loose arrows at the fiend Xerxes. Our shots had little effect because the fiend was protected by some sort of magical barrier.
Across the cavern I saw Abasi Benben, a Harbinger of Ptah, rush forward and unleash his Earthquake Ka power upon the closest pillar. Cracks appeared in the stone and dust and debris fell from the ceiling. A look of absolute terror flashed across the fiend Xerxes’ face. He screamed at Abasi Benben and aimed his staff. A burst of magical energy spewed forth and hit the ToTanem Harbinger with little effect.
Surprisingly a hand larger than a Sebeki splashed up from the pool of lava. It was then that I realized exactly where we were- this was undoubtedly the Prison of Kronos, the greatest of all the Titans. Kronos was imprisoned in ancient times by the combined might of the Olympian Gods in a secret place. Our struggle against the Minions of Xerxes immediately took on a more urgent tone. Abasi Benben‘s plan to topple the pillars was our only hope to keep Kronos safely imprisoned far from the outside world where the Titan would likely destroy all he surveyed.
Abasi Benben ran up to the pillar he had already damaged and let loose his Earthquake again. This time the pillar was destroyed and large chunks of rock fell from the ceiling as it cracked and buckled. The fiend Xerxes grew panicked and enraged, focusing a magical attack at Abasi Benben once more. I instructed Iodah to go to the aid of Abasi Benben while I would dealt with Xerxes. I called upon my Ka and flew to the landing where Xerxes stood directing his Minions against us. My struggle with the fiend was intense. I landed several wounding blows against him and managed to avoid his clumsy attacks.
Near the foot of the stairs I saw that the situation was growing dire for the Order Faction. Abasi Benben was now engaged in Provocation with a Dark Harbinger and the undead thing seemed to be getting the better of him. Nearby I saw another Tethru Harbinger engaged in Provocation with a Heru in the Aspect of the Defender whom had somehow lost his way to become a Minion of Xerxes. These sights distracted me from my struggle against the fiend. Unexpectedly Xerxes reached out with one of his massive hands and grabbed me.
By this time Kronos had emerged up to the waist in the pool of lava. Xerxes’ magics were too strong for me to overcome and I was tossed to the emerging ancient Titan.
I then found myself back in my library tent with the scroll I had immersed myself in still on the table in front of me….

August Reinforcements for the Traveller's Luminaries
Final reinforcements for the Pandora's Box Campaign. Shefdu explains whom he took from the scrolls this time:
Kuchish, Uatchet's Tongue (Uraei {tethru} Master of Words)
The Grand Aegis of Hemati was filled with Ægyptians from all races. There were no less than five great sorcerers in her Aegis, chief amongst them was Kuchish. Kuchish was known as 'Uatchet's Tongue' because he was thought to be the goddess' consort with knowledge of her secrets. His skill with the hekau matched any Tethru sorcerer of the age. Perhaps his grasp of the arcane will prove especially useful to the Luminaries...The Chariot of Amerotke (Tethru Chariot)
The Tethru charioteer, Amerotke, is best known for his precise charge into the midst of the bloodthirsty horde of Nekharu invaders near the Colossi of Memnon. His chariot and crew managed to fly into the heart of the invaders and literally behead their leader. This turned the tide of battle in favor of the defenders of Ægyptus and the Nekharu were routed back to the south to plot anew...Saturday, July 23, 2011

070511 Recruit/Capture the Witch Battle Report
This was a very fun game. The scenario was for the Chaos warband to recruit the witch to their side and the Order warband to capture the witch. The final version of the scenario has been submitted to the Campaign Team. And it's a bit different than this version of the scenario, but this was still pretty fun without all the wiz-bang changes. These pictures are not with an excellent camera, just a crappy old cellphone camera, sorry for the lack of quality...
Part of Carlos' Typhon Chaos Warband. Only 1 elephant this time and no assassin because the assassin is morally reprehensible. You can see the Witch in the rock formation at the bottom right of the picture...
Most of the Traveller's Luminaries arrayed for battle...
The new Sebeki chariot in the Luminaries closes in on the Typhon and Asar units...
The Typhon Harbinger's chariot is countercharged (I should've SET for charge, dammit!) and destroyed by the Bes Spearmen led by the ToTanem champion, Sakaris the Lion of Memphis (ahhh, THAT's why they charged instead of set- because the fluff says Sakaris is an attacker-type ToTanem)...
A view of the battle from a different angle at the start of turn 3 or 4. The Sebeki chariot zipped past the Asar unit but didn't actually hurt the guy they hit- now they're getting ready to swing around and do some damage. The Typhon warband's 3 20-man units are taking up positions to set in for the long-haul while the Luminaries' ToTanem unit (enhanced with Land's Favor) continue their stalwart march into the midst of the enemy...
On the Luminaries' right flank, the Typhon Harbinger and Charioteer engage the Bes Spearmen as the Sebeki unit prepares to reform and join the tough fight to come. Unfortunately their reform turned out to be wasted when the Harbinger teleported away to recruit the Witch! Meanwhile, Menthu (the Apis/not Beloved of Sobek) and Shefdu's chariot remain close, likely planning some sort of one-two punch against the Typhon elephant before it gets a chance to cause any havoc...
In the center of the battlefield the Typhon unit is held up a bit by the Wind's Howl spell. Also, the ToTanem unit charges into combat with the massive Khemru unit...
The Totanem unit has fled! But the Asar heroine, Wenenut and the Bes hero Iodah are holding up two units on their own. The Typon Harbinger is busy recruiting the Witch to his cause as Menthu is wounded by fire from the Typhon Archers on the hill...
At the Luminaries' rear the Tethru Swordmasters, having provided some useful bowfire in the earlier turns, prepare to deal with the Asar unit as it draws closer. They draw their doouble-handed swords and focus their Ka. Meanwhile, the Luminaries' Mistress of Words, Young Seshat, has moved up closer to the main fighting to see if she can do anything to help the cause...
The Typhon elephant has changed course in an attempt to go after the Sebeki chariot (although the chariot turned back towards the center of the battle instead of heading after the Typhon archers). Menthu the Apis (not-Beloved of Sobek) managed to catch the elephant from behind and do some damage. In the bottom right of the picture, Shefdu Sootootma has dismounted his chariot to head after the Typhon Harbinger and the Witch...
PROVOCATION! Shefdu engages the Typhon Harbinger as the battle rages around them. Unfortunately I forgot that one of the Ka powers Carlos rolled was Strength of Set- had I remembered that I would have cast Fiery Aspect before rushing into the Provocation. In the background, Iodah is surrounded by the evil Khemru, but he fights on with great vigor. He does much more damage to the Khemru unit than they do to him...
The Swordmasters of Hoethet clash with the Asar unit, to the Asar's surprise. They are WARRIOR-scribes, after all, not simple scribes as most opponents seem to think...
The Sebeki chariot makes it into the fray, charging into the Typhon unit. As the Bes hero, Iodah, continues to whittle away the massive Khemru unit...
The newly recruited Witch turns his magic against the oncoming Sebeki unit. He casts Insidious Dementia on them, causing the Sebeki to fight amongst themselves (losing one of their own) and putting them into disorder...
Shefdu's chariot joins the fray by charging into the Khemru unit's flank. Meanwhile the Provocation continues with Shefdu hanging on by a thread (Strength of Set causes 2 wounds instead of 1 for each hit you take, so Shefdu's getting 2 for 1 in this fight!)...
The action was pretty fast at this point. The main thing was that Shefdu fell in the Provocation but only 1 unit routed because of the loss of their Harbinger. Since it was turn 9 (of a 10 turn limit) I realized that there was nobody free or close enough to get to the Witch in time to capture him, so I conceded.
For what looked like a bloody battle there were relatively few casualties. Most of my losses were characters with only a few warriors lost. Carlos lost more models overall, so I take pride in killing more than he did. It would be nice to allow the Witch to become a permanent addition to the recruiting warband but I doubt the Campaign Team would allow that in a normal non-convention game, so he was worth 2 Renown instead.

July Reinforcements for the Traveller's Luminaries
Reinforcements this time took the form of die rolls. We shall let Shefdu explain who he pulled from the scrolls:
The Chariot of Pedjet (Sebeki Chariot)
The Sebeki Charioteer Pedjet, along with his driver Skedj, are best known for their wild ride to Crocodiliopolis to secure reinforcements for the beleaguered defenders of a frontier outpost. But their exploits did not start or end there. They were often in the warband of Hashmet the Golden Maw as he travelled the Nile in search of the stolen daughters of the Nomarch of Crocodiliopolis. Their prowess on the battlefield was matched by their prowess on the chariot-racing circuit...
Young Wenenut, The Swift One (Asar Champion)
Since I had her chariot, it only seemed fair to bring Young Wenenut into the Luminaries. The lovely hare-headed future Harbinger of Isis and Thoth was a fixture in Kimshet the Learned's warband for many years before she became a Harbinger. Her dual-sword fighting style and speed on the battlefield are welcome additions...
Sakaris, the Lion of Memphis (ToTanem Champion)
The ToTanem are usually thought of as a defensive people, yet Sakaris is an example of their capability to go on the attack with ferocity. He was ruthless in defense of caravans from Memphis to other cities of Ægyptus and beyond. While the rest of the caravan guards would form up defensive lines to ward off attackers, Sakaris would often charge out on his own into the midst of the brigands. His battle cry was said to resemble that of an angry lion, thus he eventually became known as the Lion of Memphis and was made Captain of the City Guard for a time...

The Luminaries of “the Traveller’s Luminaries”
Somehow I came up with “the Traveller’s Luminaries” as the name of Shefdu’s Pandora’s Box warband. It started out as “Sootootma’s Superstars” but that was way too anachronistic for my taste. Some brainstorming and thesaurus searching helped me arrive at the official title. This warband is meant to be very fluffy, I’m not going for a killer warband that will plow through every opponent and leave a trail of carcasses in its wake (that would be nice, but living Shefdu is much more refined than that).
The idea behind the Luminaries is that Shefdu is pulling heroes (and heroines, he’s got a thing for strong ladies, remember) out of scrolls to aid him in the fight against the forces of Chaos. Heroes one and all, these will be Shefdu's favorite characters and units. Hopefully it will give us great insight into Shefdu's inner workings.
Young Seshat basically comes from my desire to use my female Tethru Master of Words conversion once again. She's sort of my lucky MoW and looks great on the battlefield. I decided on 'Young Seshat' because who else would Shefdu look up to as a role model but the greatest MoW since Thoth himself? It's the YOUNG Seshat because Shefdu wouldn't want to bother the older version of her, even if she is merely a simulacrum pulled from a scroll...
Sefkhet Aabut was used in Wenenut's Aten Heresy warband. This is the version of her that Shefdu's pulled from a scroll. I decided to change her epithet from 'the Mighty Quill' to 'the Polemicist' and/or 'the Poison Quill' for a couple reasons. I was going to have a Tethru hero named after Christopher Hitchens as the Polemicist, but I couldn't figure out a good Ægyptification of 'Hitchens.' My first use of the Tethru Heroine mini was as a reinforcement for the worst Typhon Harbinger EVER during the Horus vs Set campaign. I think she had a different name but her epithet, being an evil Tethru, was 'the Poison Quill.' That also seems an appropriate epithet for a Polemicist...
Iodah the Hero of Kashik is pretty self-explanatory to any fan of Star Wars. Instead of outright City-Dwellers of Hermopolis I wanted to use Chronopia Swamp Goblins as Children of Bes. They’re short and the Egyptians had a liking of dwarves- and Bes was a dwarf-god. So as Asar stand-ins they fit fluffwise very well. Iodah’s backstory was pretty simple to come up with- Heru General gets too cocky and pays the price. Little Bes-dude rallies the troops and saves the day…
The allied characters are both variants of characters I was going to use for the abandoned Jilgamish warband. For reinforcements I’ve got some fun possibilities planned.
Kortosis the Impregnable was going to be Ziusudra, the Babylonian builder of the ark. When the Jilgamish warband was abandoned I took some time trying to figure out a good ToTanem sounding name. When that resulted in nothing worthwhile it hit me- Cortosis (also a Star Wars reference)! I Ægyptified it by changing the ‘C’ to a ‘K’ and the ‘Impregnable’ epithet followed from there. His Babylonian origins get a nod in that he helped repel a Babylonian invasion. The Babylonian leader, Lugalbanda, is also another nod to the abandoned Jilgamish warband. Lugalbanda is Gilgamesh’s father! (Another Star Wars tie-in?) Every Tethru warband should seriously consider an Artifex because of the chance to get a Sorcerer’s Rod…
The big one. The one I’m most excited about and proud of- Menthu Hathorhotep the Apis. A couple years ago I sold off my original Beloved of Sobek on eBay and his replacement is in the cleaned-but-not-assembled stage. My Olympus Minotaur is simply awesome and on the same size base as a Beloved, so why not use him instead?
This guy would have fit well as Emkidu (Enkidu, Gilgamesh’s buddy) in the abandoned Jilgamish warband. When Gilgamesh and Enkidu first met they sort of butted heads like a couple of bulls and the Babylonian Bull of Heaven plays a part in the story. Since this is WarGods, not bound by the constraints of mythology as it IS, I thought that Enkidu AS a Bull of Heaven would be a great twist. Of course I had to make the minotaur fit into an Ægyptus warband and that took some serious(ly fun research).
For the name- I knew he had to be a son of Hathor (the cow goddess), so “Hathorhotep” came first. Then I remembered one of the possible Heru names I’d made note of long ago had an alternate bull aspect- Menthu of Thebes! Now I just needed some reason that this not-minotaur guy would be someone Shefdu would want in his warband.
I’ve not really been bitten by the Olympus bug, but I do know some Greek myth and Herakles quickly came to mind, especially his 12 Labors. I started out wanting Menthu to be the Ægyptian Herakles but better because he had 13 Labors. When I refreshed my memory on all 12 of Herk’s Labors I was unimpressed because several of them were pretty much the same (go catch this wild beast/monster) and a couple were just kinda lame (clean out that king’s stables) so I decided that to be more awesome Menthu would only need half as many Labors (eventually I realized that 5 would be even better still).
Since nobody really thinks of anyone but a Sebeki falling in love with a female Sebeki- Menthu HAD to fall in love with a Sebeki Princess. From there it was a foregone conclusion that there would need to be a tragic twist at the end.
The use of ‘Endeavors’ came from a thesaurus search to get just the right word to replace ‘Labors.’ The Endeavors themselves mirror Herk’s Labors but with a more Ægyptus theme (I think). Since Sebeki like to eat I figured having a few Endeavors meant to result in the main course for a feast would be good. The hunt for a Babylonian Bull of Heaven is yet another nod to the abandoned Jilgamish warband. The Headdress of Isis is a twist on Hippolyte’s Girdle. Menthu doesn’t have to fight or come up with trickery to get the Headdress- another episode that makes him better than Herk.
I’m sure this is just the beginning of “Menthu’s Celebrated Journeys”…

Bringing the Scroll Traveller to the Pandora Campaign (2011)
From time to time (more often than that even) I'll give some behind-the-scenes commentary on stuff. This is the first one of those commentaries about Shefdu Sootootma's warband for the 2011 World Campaing:
I recently read 2 or 3 of the newer translations of the Epic of Gilsgamesh (for fun). That gave me every intention of doing a Gilgamesh-themed Ptah warband for the Pandora’s Box Campaign. But my own insecurities about pulling it off made me rethink it. I don't have all the figures I'd want to use as Babylonians in my vast collection yet. It would have been a fun warband but ToTanem Harbingers often end up being way too frustrating to play against. So I decided to try something that might be more fun for me and my potential opponents.
I considered an Inanna-themed Isis warband to keep with the Babylonian theme and add some spice to games. Inanna's warband will likely see some games as a proxy Chaos warband or my personal Chaos warband during the campaign. Many of her jilted and tormented lovers will be used as characters, plus she's got lots of Nekharu to help firmly put her in the Chaos faction.
This brought an idea I've been playing with for quite some time to the fore- a Tethru warband of the pre-mummified Shefdu Sootootma 'the Scroll Traveller.' Longtime fans of Shefdu's exploits will no doubt exclaim "Waitaminnut- I thought Shefdu was known as the 'Scribe of the Dawn' before he was the Dark Harbinger version known as the 'Scribe of Oblivion!'" Of course he was, everyone knows that. BUT before he was 'Scribe of the Dawn' he was known as 'the Scroll Traveller.'
A literal translation of Shefdu is "papyrus scroll" and Sootootma is "to travel or walk"- so he's been the 'Scroll Traveller,' or 'Scroll Walker,' all along. I think Mabuki may have made mention of this at one time but it was in passing so nobody really noticed it.
Before he first became a Harbinger of Thoth he discovered an ancient magical technique that let him enter a scroll and take part in the action. This is probably why he became a Harbinger in the first place (I haven’t written that part of his fluff yet). Of course it’s a forbidden knowledge thing so he was only able to use it for a little while before the Assessors stepped in. That is the Shefdu who finds himself in the midst of the Pandora's Box Crisis…

The Traveller’s Luminaries - Warband of Shefdu Sootootma
When ‘the Scroll Traveller‘ first discovered his ability to ‘walk the scrolls’ he found himself in the midst of the Pandora Crisis. His sense of duty to Ægyptus caused him to gather together a warband and lend this might to the Forces of Order. Several heroes and heroines from the scrolls called out to young Shefdu and he did his best to bring them forth as part of his warband.
Excerpts from Shefdu Sootootma’s Scrolls:
Young Seshat (Tethru Mistress of Words)
Young Seshat, Arcanist of the Ancient Lore Archives, was my first recruit. As a young scribe I marvelled at tales of Seshat’s skills and exploits. Her use of the hekau became the standard by which all future Masters of Words would be measured. Her presence will greatly add to our success….
Sefkhet-Aabut the Polemicist (Tethru Heroine)
I have always admired the dry sharp wit of Sefkhet-Aabut, the Polemicist. Also known as ‘the Poison Quill’ for her scathing criticisms of the conduct of the Anubi Harbinger An Abasi, Sefkhet’s skills were not limited to her writings. She was one of the last apprentices of the Swordmaster, Hoethet. Her martial skills with a pole-sword were as exceptional as her writings. Hoethet’s own writings mention how often she came close to besting the Master in their time together.
Kortosis the Impregnable (ToTanem Artifex)
Kortosis the Impregnable was deemed an average Artifex until the events of the Babylonian Incursion of Lugalbanda of Uruk. The frontier post of Arish stood as the last obstacle between the Uruk hordes and their entry into Æyptus. The post commander looked to Kortosis for guidance in the coming battle. The Artifex immediately went to work designing and constructing defenses for the post that held up Lugalbanda’s horde for days. It was long enough for reinforcements to arrive and push the Babylonians back into their own lands.
Menthu Hathorhotep (Apis not-Beloved-of-SobeK)
One of the Apis sons of Hathor, Menthu was a great hero of Ægyptus in the time of Osiris’ rule. Menthu’s most well-known adventure is the 5 Endeavors. To win the hand of the Sebeki Nomarch Gnarah’s daughter, Hesthuti, Menthu was tasked by the Nomarch with 5 Endeavors to prove his worthiness.
The first Endeavor was to kill the Red Ram, a vicious beast that caused havoc in the outskirts of Crocodiliopolis, and bring its meat back for a feast. This was an easy hunt for Menthu. He tracked the Red Ram for miles and found its lair. After a bloody struggle Menthu was victorious. Nomarch Gnarah was unpleasantly surprised by this success and reluctantly held a feast for Menthu.
The second Endeavor was to destroy the Nekharu Raiders who had been plaguing Crocodiliopolis for years. Menthu laid a trap for the Nekharu by organizing a false caravan to draw them in. During the battle he killed their leader and scattered the survivors to the four winds. Nomarch Gnarah was grateful but secretly displeased.
The third Endeavor was to bring some of the Obsidian Fruit of Punt to the Nomarch. The Obsidian Fruit groves are guarded by gargantuan serpents. Menthu decided to charge his way into the groves, throwing goats he had collected along the way at the serpents to keep them occupied. As the serpents feasted Menthu gathered three large baskets of the Obsidian Fruit and returned to the Nomarch unscathed by the serpents.
The fourth Endeavor was to capture one of the Babylonian Bulls of Heaven to be returned for a feast. Nomarch Gnarah was certain Menthu would fail in the Endeavor. For months Menthu travelled through the Babylonian lands seeking one of the Bulls of Heaven. Finally an old shepherd whom Menthu had shared a meal with told Menthu where a beautiful heifer that was sure to attract the attentions of a Bull of Heaven could be found. Menthu put the heifer in a valley and waited. Soon a magnificent giant bull entered the valley to investigate the heifer. Menthu struggled with the Bull of Heaven for three days, finally besting it late in the night of the third day. Nomarch Gnarah was furious when Menthu returned with the Bull of Heaven but held a feast for Menthu despie his anger.
For the fifth and final Endeavor Nomarch Gnarah believed he had devised the most impossible task for Menthu. Menthu was to bring the headdress of Isis to Hesthuti to enhance her beauty for their wedding. After much consideration Menthu decided to approach Isis directly and ask for the headdress instead of devising some elaborate plan to attempt to steal it. Isis gladly gave him the headdress, understanding Menthu’s love for Hesthuti. But when Menthu returned to Crocodiliopolis with the headdress, he went into a rage when he discovered that Hesthuti had been married to a Sebeki Harbinger with whom her father had long been trying to form political ties. Menthu laid waste to the Nomarch’s palace and vowed never to love again.
Iodah the Hero of Kashik (Bes Hero)
The Bes Hero, Iodah, is perhaps most well-known for his leadership of the routing army at the Kashik Oasis. Kashik Oasis is an important site to the Bes people; it is where Bes is believed to have recovered the staff of Ra from a spurned foreign goddess. The army had been formed under the Heru General Hakarathy to travel into the Western Desert and punish a band of Libyan marauders. But the marauders were much more organized and prepared than anyone could have guessed. Under the command of a Nekharu Witch Lord, the Libyans routed the army and relentlessly pursued the ragged remains back into Ægyptus. With General Hakarathy dead, Iodah managed to reform some of the army into a viable force and they made their stand at the Kashik Oasis. Iodah’s leadership managed to crush the Libyans and their Nekharu allies, protecting the Ægyptian frontiers from certain enslavement to foreign predation.
