Two Crocodiliopolis Spearmen

 

So I got to paint up a  couple of the early castings of Crocodiliopolis city dweller spearmen from the recent Kickstarter by Crocodile Games. 

This guy was the first one I got to paint.  I like his crocodile skin shoulder armor. I tried to add some excitement to his kilt with the squiggles of red.

This second guy I started painting in the final hours of the Kickstarter at the Croc HQ. He was finished a day or so later at home. His kilt also got a little design to add some excitement. 

And here are the 'little brothers' with a selection of Sebeki. 

Amazon Attack '22 - Four More Spears

 

The Amazon Spears unit is now up to the basic unit size of 10 with the completion of these four ladies. 

I like the Amazons who have the sleeves but I like the ones without sleeves a lot too- it's an unexpected change of pace. This one has a horse shield that I think came out pretty good. 

Next is a helmetless one with some red face paint because I didn't like how her face turned out.

Another Amazon with a horse shield, this one no helmet and gorgeous curly hair. Her horse shield also turned out pretty good.

Finally, another helmeted Amazon in a green scheme because of her 'Mother of Serpents' style shield.

Amazon Attack '22- More Amazon Spears

 

The Amazon spears unit grows by two more. Only 3 or 4 more to get the minimum sized unit of 10 ready to take to the field. Both of these ladies are "front rank" coming with separate spear arms. I can't help but mention (again) just how great these sculpts are- they're attractive female warriors without resorting to cheesecake (not that there's anything wrong with cheesecake!).

First up is the one with a helmet. 

Then we've got the one without a helmet. Her shield is one of those with a hand nailed to it, but I wanted to do some freehand on it, so that was removed. The eye came out okay, not quite how I wanted it, but I do think it looks good.
